Law & Order alumnus Annie Parisse and Zak Orth will star in Anne Washburn's The Internationalist at off-Broadway's Vineyard Theatre, beginning October 19. The new drama, to be directed by Ken Rus Schmoll, will kick off the 25th anniversary season of the Vineyard.
Parisse is best known for her role as Assistant D.A. Alexandra Borgia on NBC's Law & Order. Her off-Broadway credits include Monster, The Credeaux Canvas. Her movie credits include Monster-in-Law and National Treasure. She and Orth appeared together in the 2005 film Prime with Meryl Streep and Uma Thurman, and Parisse was an understudy in the Roundabout's 1997 production of Misalliance in which Orth played the Gunner.
The Internationalist tells the story of an ambitious American businessman Orth whose romantic notion of what it will be like to work in a foreign country where he doesn't speak the language takes a mysterious turn when, among other things, he meets a beautiful woman Parisse.
Opening night of The Internationalist is set for November 7, and the show's limited engagement will run through November 26.
